Client brief

Diginoor had an existing website where they were already selling NFTs which was built on WordPress. They wanted to upgrade the design and do a makeover of the site from scratch using custom code. The scope of this project was:

1. To come up with a solution that works for users that are new to the game of NFTs and cryptocurrency but also are huge fans of their favorite South Indian actors.

2. Provide a clean experience for users to learn about NFTS, buy and resell them on the website via a sort of marketplace functionality.

3. Have an FAQ page for the users with video tutorials on how to connect their crypto wallet, how NFTs work, etc.

4. Build a community section for users to interact with social media posts

5. Have a user dashboard where the user could show off their collection of NFTs

our solution

I was in charge of the complete UX design of the project, from wireframing to prototyping and came up with a solution where the entire website experience would feel futuristic and had a lot going yet simple enough so new users would be able to understand it. The idea was to provide complex functionality to the users that required it and prioritize the new users perspective of simplicity.

My inspiration was taken from NFT stores like NBA Top Shot, Rarible and Openseas.

I decided the homepage should have the tools for a new user to get started and made a beginners toolbox to help them out on the first scroll itself. The usage of emojis on the headings throughout the site would make a user feel right at home as they see familiar icons and it makes them comfortable. The NFT cards themselves were gamified in a manner so the user could feel like they were collecting cards that ranged from really rare and valuable to common ones. Micro interactions were added throughout the prototype to make sure the stakeholders could visualize how their website could come to life. The NFT page was designed to provide experienced collectors with nerdy logistics and statistics behind each NFT and when someone bought an NFT it would throw confetti over their screen so the user would experience receiving a prize of sorts. The user profile had a section called showcase which was designed to look like a wall of artworks so people could show off their collections. The marketplace was designed to introduce an auctioning experience to the users.

And even though all this functionality has been added to the experience there's more room for improvement and this is a project I'm currently working on.
